What to name in your inquiry
Name the humidifier line first — household or air — because the two are separate and neither covers the other. Then name the type within the line, the space it must serve, and the use: a home, a room, a basement, a greenhouse, a commercial space, or another space. An inquiry that names the line, the type and the space will receive a specific answer; an inquiry that names only the word humidifier will receive a general answer.
Name the quantity you have in mind, and the market you sell into. The humidifier selection guide and the room-sizing guide explain the types and the spaces. An inquiry that names the line and the space will receive a specific answer, and an inquiry that names neither will receive a general one.
Four confirmations, before payment
First, the minimum order quantity for your order, and whether it differs by line or by type. Second, the lead time, with its meaning: whether it counts from order, from payment, or from production start. Third, the specification for the exact type, so the goods can be checked against it on arrival. Fourth, the certificates that apply to your market, by name, with documents attached.
Certificates are available upon request; the inquiry is where you name your market and ask for the documents that apply to it. A supplier who answers all four in writing, with documents, is a supplier whose order can proceed.
Before payment, confirm the minimum order quantity and lead time for your order. Certificates are available upon request.
What not to assume
Do not assume that one humidifier line covers the other, that a coverage figure describes a humidifier fully, or that a general assurance covers your market's certificate needs. Each assumption is a common cause of a wrong order, and each is avoided by naming the line, the space, and the market in the inquiry. The inquiry process page explains the sequence in full.
